Organizational Setting
Reporting to the Head of Department, you will participate in the:
- Oversight of aerodrome operators (EU and national regulatory frameworks)
- Oversight of ground handling services providers.
- Preparation, execution, reporting and follow-up of audits and inspections.
- Management of obstacles and hazards to air navigation.
- Representation of the department in national and international meetings in the field of expertise.
- Promotion of civil aviation in Luxembourg.
Requirements
Education
- Minimum 3 years of post-secondary aeronautical education in an aviation domain related to the function, or;
- 5 years of experience in Aerodromes Operations or at least, 3 years of experience in equivalent position/function at a Civil Aviation Authority.
Experience, technical skills and competences
- Good knowledge and experience in Aerodromes including operational and technical aspects.
- Good knowledge in the relevant aviation regulatory framework:
- EASA legislation and ICAO SARPs and documents.
- Good command of both written and spoken English. Good knowledge of French and/or German language is an asset.
- MS Office and computer literate.
It is considered as an asset if the candidate has:
- Experience in an EASA Member Civil Aviation Authority as Aerodrome Inspector.
- Experience as an auditor.
- Knowledge in apron management services and/or ground handling operations.
